Pushback pallet racking is an ideal solution if goods of the same are being stored within a warehouse. Goods are stored and collected from one side unlike its counterpart, drive-through racking which allows storage and retrieval of goods from both ends of the racks. Pushback pallet racking saves space and transport routes. This type of storage is normally used for buffer channels.
Pushback racking solution is made from racking uprights put together to make a channel. The conveyors are tilted to make item retrieval easier, the following unit will move up automatically. When the pallets are stacked, the pallets already stacked must be pushed up against the tilted slope. Normally each rack houses three pallets, and there is an option to add more pallets if needed. The stacking of pallets is normally carried out by stacking lengthways via forklifts or support arm stackers.
